Wheeler's eye for design and attention to detail gave us a wonderful outdoor living space with a pool. Anytime something didn't live up to his expectations, he fixed it and needless to say it met all of my expectations.

We had a great experience with Ryan and his team on the construction of our patio extension project. They were efficient and timely. They made useful and reasonable suggestions that made our patio turn out better than we expected. Communication was open, clear and honest. I would highly recommend Ryan and his team.

We could not be happier with the outdoor kitchen and patio extension Tradition Outdoor did for us. Their team was very respectful of our time and property and everything was completed on time as quoted. If questions arose, they were quick to respond. The workmanship was excellent and we have enjoyed many gatherings on our new patio. We were so pleased we hired them the following year to build a workshop which they once again did a phenomenal job on. Anytime we have a project Tradition Outdoor Living is the first call we make.

This is going to be a bit of a long review, as I am a detail oriented person, so before I quantify the negative I would first like to qualify it by saying overall we are happy we had a patio added to our home and we do enjoy the time we spend utilizing our patio. •Construction took over 10 months. •More than 15 tiles had to be removed because they were hollow, some multiple times. •Since the tiles were cut dry the edge was wavy and chipped. (see photo) •After discussing that they needed to remove the edge tiles as put stainless steel edging around the edge, and replace the chipped tiles, they came back and just used a grinder to cut a groove and put the stainless steel radius edge in.(see picture) •They just chipped around the plastic and installed the lights in the patio, as a result the lights did not sit level and there were gaps around the lights that were sloppy and just filled with grout (see picture) •The firepit made a very loud hissing noise. After installing a regulator sticking out of the grass, I suggested that they install a second valve under the counter away from the firepit to restrict the flow. After first telling me this was against code, they suddenly changed their mind and said it could be done.(see pic of regulator sticking out of grass) •Initially they put sand and rock under the glass beads in the firepit. After a few rains the sand plugged the drain holes and water and sand started to just flow out onto the patio when in rained. I cleaned out the sand and rock mix myself and replaced it with marble rock and then put the glass beads back on top of the white marble rock. •As a result of leaving attic access open with nothing blocking it for over a month the wind blew the insulation out of that corner of the house. (see picture) •Because of all the dry cutting and re-cutting of tile and stone on our grass, in the same spot, the dust from this collected in the area and downwind of the area and killed the grass. Once diagnosed I went over the area with a pressure washer and that seems to have allowed moisture to penetrate the ground again, however Tradition has refused to make any repairs to the damaged area. •There are 5 lights installed in the stone work around the firepit and bench. Initially 4 lights were the same and 1 was different. When we asked that they make all 5 lights the same, we were told that both were discontinued so they would need to replace all 5 lights. They did replace all 5 lights without a problem. •The holes in the firepit burner were originally drilled in the top side of the burner allowing water entry into the gas line. •The holes in the firepit burner are rather far apart, so even with the slightest wind the fire blows out and gas accumulates before it ignites again, so you often get a series of mini explosions throughout an evening. •We were told that "the good" tile crew would come to fix the issues after all the problems with the tile, so I was slightly annoyed that we did not get "the good" tile crew to start. •There is an AC to DC converter for the BBQ that is clearly marked that it must be installed 1ft above ground level, this was installed on the ground. I mounted it myself at the proper height. •When the fridge was installed there was a gap of about 8 inches between the top of the fridge and the bottom of the granite. They came and added stone without a hassle, but they used a grout that was a different color. •Our yard is littered with shards of tile to the point where the kids don't dare step off the patio in bare feet for fear of getting shard of tile in their foot. I have spent multiple hours picking up pieces of tile as well as about 45 minutes going over the grass with a shop-vac, however there are still a dangerous amount of tile shards littered throughout the yard.

They were able to take my simple drawings to fulfill my vision. We were given a 3D design of our project. We were informed at each stage of the project. Any concerns were quickly resolved without any conflicts. The project leaders and workers were all professional, creative, and courteous. Now the whole family can enjoy the "Man Cave"! Thank you so much for bringing our dream to reality!!

We live in a simple middle class neighborhood so I wasn't sure about adding an outdoor patio cover but I'm so glad we did. The workmanship, attention to detail and quality product distinguishes our home from others when it's time to sell but it also gives us an outdoor living space that we love in the meantime. I recommend them without reservation.

When planning for a patio we received 5 plans from prospective contractors. Wheeler BeMent from Tradition Outdoor Living sat with us for several hours in order to obtain our thoughts and to provide his suggestions. He then brought back a computer assisted design of a plan that we were able to alter. We were very impressed with Wheeler's respectfulness, knowledge and building acumen. Therefore we chose Tradition Outdoor Living as our contractor for the patio. During each phase of the project Wheeler came to inspect and make changes as needed. He made sure that we were aware of the projected timelines for each phase. We are extremely satisfied with the final product. We have also received many laudatory comments from a number of neighbors. We would highly recommend Tradition Outdoor Living.

Wheeler BeMent and Tradition Outdoor Living did excellent work extending our patio and adding an outdoor kitchen and fireplace. Wheeler did a great job being a true professional with no sales pressure, sharing some wonderful design ideas, effectively communicating with us during the entire process, working around our schedule with dogs in our backyard, and listening to and addressing all our concerns. We love it that he pleasantly surprised us by adding grass where needed and mounting our TiVo Mini box behind the TV on the fireplace wall. Even after our patio was finished and final payment was made, Wheeler quickly fixed a problem we had with a couple of electrical outlets and removed a piece of hardi to make sure a shade could get properly installed. In the end, we're so glad we decided to go with Tradition. We love our patio and will be enjoying it for many years to come. Thank you Wheeler and Tradition!
